Last week to win $50 from Dillard's
Dillard's is giving away $50 gift cards! Log on to mom2momkc.com for the latest giveaway: a chance to win a $50 gift card from Dillard’s department store.
A winner will be randomly drawn after this freebie expires Saturday, so hurry up and enter! Simply go to mom2momkc.com and click “Giveaways.” This site also has great little coupons and is probably worth the effort to navigate through it. I wouldn't be surprised if in the near future they start showing coupons for Nordstrom's, JC Penney's, etc.
Best of luck and happy shopping!

CNBC's Rick Santelli
Today CNBC's Rick Santelli had some strong words about President Obama's new housing plan. Santelli suggested creating a Web site to let Americans vote on the plan and here was his idea:
"...to have people vote on the internet as a referendum to see if we really want to subsidize the loser's mortgages or would we like to at least buy cars and buy houses in foreclosure and give them to people that might have a chance to actually prosper down the road and reward people that can carry the water instead of drink the water…"
Broadcasting from a trading floor in Chicago, most traders around Santelli cheered.
While Rick will be on our show live Friday morning to further discuss, we asked the question "Is the government promoting bad behavior?"on Twitter and here are a few responses:
@mommyswishlist: @todayshow YES. that is like giving your toddler a cookie for whackin' his brother over the head with his sippee cup.
@alstevens: @todayshow You have to wonder if there isn't a fringe group of people who will fail just to get the help, so yes.
@sglane: @todayshow the gov't has promoted bad behavior on Wall Street already with deregulation over the years. Why stop there?
@kevinpious: @todayshow I don't know if it's promoting bad behavior, but it is reducing the consequences of it. Frustrates someone who pays their bills
@pieceofschmidt: @todayshow I totally agree with Mr. Santelli - it's irresponsible to condone and encourage the behaviors that got us into this mess...
Adam Corolla Fired!?!?!?
Multiple sources now corroborate reports that Carolla’s radio show has been cancelled and that Carolla has been let go. Some rumors suggest his home station, Los Angeles’s 97.1 KLSX, is preparing to switch from its current talk format to a more top-40-style format. Some speculation suggests the purported change could leave KLSX personality Tom Leykis out of a job as well.
As for the possible format shift, radio gossip site RadioInsight discovered that the domains AmpRadioLA.com, Amp971.com, and Amp971fm.com were all registered anonymously on February 9. Additionally, AmpRadio971.com and 971AmpRadio.com were registered in the name of programming consultant Anthony Acampora about a month ago. (Amp Radio is evidently a youth-oriented format that’s been used in other markets.)
Carolla, interestingly, signed a “multiyear extension” for his “Adam Carolla Show” program at the end of 2007. A CBS Radio exec said at the time that the show had “far exceeded [CBS's] expectations and proven to be a listener favorite,” even adding that he “anticipate[d] even more success for the program in the years to come.”
Representatives from CBS Radio were not immediately available to return our request for comment.
Update (Thursday, 2/19): Everything here is now officially confirmed as true. KLSX will change to “AMP RADIO,” this Friday, February 20, at 5 p.m. That day will mark the final broadcasts for Adam Carolla, Tom Leykis, and Frosty, Heidi, and Frank. Thus far, none of them has discussed their plans for the future.

Daytona 500 Start Time!!!!
According to reports the Daytona International Speedway needs about two hours to completely dry and with rain still falling the likelihood of a green flag being waved to start the season-opening race anytime soon is doubtful.
Despite the ominous outlook NASCAR officials remain confident that the sports premier event would be completed on Sunday, even if it was under lights.
